Herman’s Music Minute for February 4th

In 1977, Fleetwood Mac released their 11th studio album, Rumours. The album went on to top the charts in the U.S., the U.K., and several other countries. Within five weeks of its release, Rumours was certified Platinum by the RIAA. To date, Rumours is the 11th best-selling album in US history, now certified 21-times Platinum.
 

 
 
In 1981, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band stopped at SIU Arena in Carbondale, Illinois on their River Tour, performing for a crowd of over 7,700 people. The concert clocked in at 3½ hours. Springsteen had released The River just over 3 months before the show; at the time of the concert, it was at number 13 on the albums chart.
