On this day in music history…

In 1991, Spin Doctors released their debut studio album, Pocket Full of Kryptonite. The band had already put out a live album earlier that year. Pocket Full of Kryptonite didn’t make its way onto the albums chart until the following July, after radio stations began playing the album’s lead single, “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.” The album went on to peak at number 3 on the Billboard 200, top the Heatseekers chart, and yield two Top 40 hits for Spin Doctors: the aforementioned lead single and “Two Princes.”

In 2018, the Eagles album Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) was certified 38 times Platinum by the RIAA, surpassing Michael Jackson’s Thriller to become the best-selling album of all time in the U.S. Thriller, however, remained the best-selling album of all time worldwide.
