In 1963, drummer Charlie Watts joined The Rolling Stones. Three days later, Watts played his first show with the Stones at the Ealing Club in West London, England. Watts drummed in the band for 58 years. His tenure ended with his passing in 2021.
In 1979, The Music for UNICEF Concert took place at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York. Performers included ABBA, Bee Gees, Earth, Wind & Fire, Olivia Newton-John, John Denver, Rod Stewart, Donna Summer, and others.
