On this day in music history…
In 1972, Eagles released their debut single, “Take It Easy.” One month later, the band released their self-titled debut album, on which “Take It Easy” was the opening track. The song went on to peak at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 2007, Rush released their 18th studio album, Snakes & Arrows. A couple weeks later, the album debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200. It went on to spend a total of 14 weeks on the U.S. chart. The following month, Rush embarked on their Snakes & Arrows Tour.
