In 1982, The Charlie Daniels Band performed for a crowd of over 6,100 people at SIU Arena in Carbondale, Illinois. The band played for 2 and a half hours, and their set list consisted of 24 songs. Earlier that month, The Charlie Daniels Band had released their Windows album. Delbert McClinton was the opening act.
In 2000, Red Hot Chili Peppers performed for a crowd of over 7,800 people at SIU Arena in Carbondale, Illinois. Nine months earlier, the band had released their Californication album, which was charting at number 28 at the time of the concert. Foo Fighters were the opening act. Five months earlier, Foo Fighters had released their There Is Nothing Left to Lose album, which was on the chart at number 135.
