Marion Police Arrest Suspect in String of Copper Thefts

Marion Police have arrested a man in connection with a string of burglaries.

Forty-nine-year-old Lincoln Alsip of Creal Springs was taken into custody March 20th after an investigation into thefts targeting businesses and construction sites.

Police say more than 32-thousand dollars in copper and thousands more in electrical wire were stolen.

Alsip faces multiple charges, including burglary and possession of stolen property.

The investigation remains ongoing.
