Deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a fugitive who had been on the run for nearly five years.
Authorities say they received a tip that Devontae Sanders was in the 300 block of South 5th Street in Marion. Sanders was wanted on an active warrant out of Franklin County connected to a 2021 home invasion.
Deputies say Sanders ran when officers tried to make contact, but he was taken into custody a short time later.
Sanders now faces charges including home invasion, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and reckless discharge of a firearm related to the 2021 case. He was also cited in Williamson County for resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
