In 1978, Chicago vocalist and guitarist Terry Kath died from an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was just 31 years old.
In 1988, Tiffany became the youngest female artist to have a number 1 album on the U.S. chart. Her self-titled album had been climbing the chart for 17 weeks before taking the top spot. It would stay at number 1 for two weeks.
