SIU Carbondale Team Receives Grant to Study Algae Toxin Prevention

A research team at Southern Illinois University Carbondale has received a one-hundred-seventy-thousand-dollar grant to continue work on preventing toxins from harmful algae blooms.

The project, led by Scott Hamilton-Brehm, aims to stop toxin production from blue-green algae and could one day be used in ponds, lakes, and rivers.
