An accidental click turned into a big win for a Southern Illinois resident.

A Johnston City woman won a 250-thousand-dollar FastPlay jackpot on the Illinois Lottery’s 20-dollar Magnificent Multiplier game.

The winner, Holly, a retired teacher who asked that only her first name be used, says the ticket was purchased by mistake while she was at home watching a movie. She intended to buy a two-dollar Booming Bucks ticket through the Illinois Lottery’s iLottery platform, but accidentally selected the 20-dollar game instead.

Holly says any regret disappeared quickly once she realized she had hit the jackpot. She told lottery officials she was sitting at her desk when the win popped up on her screen and initially thought her computer had crashed.

She says she was completely stunned and immediately shared the news with her husband.
