A Marion man is in custody after police say he tried breaking into several homes early Tuesday morning.

Marion Police say they got multiple calls and videos showing a masked suspect attempting to enter houses overnight on November 18th. Officers searched the city and found 34-year-old Dewayne Perrian wearing the same clothing seen in the footage, with a mask in his pocket.

Investigators later learned Perrian was already out on pretrial release in Jackson County for similar crimes and was set to be released from Williamson County the next day. Police worked with prosecutors to get a warrant, keeping him in custody.

Perrian is now charged with three counts of burglary. The investigation is still ongoing.
