Emergency crews were called to the Kroger on North Giant City Road in Carbondale Wednesday evening after a vehicle rammed into the front of the store.

Carbondale Police say they were notified around 5:34 p.m. and responded to the scene in the parking lot at 501 North Giant City Road. Officers confirmed a car had struck the front entrance area of the building.

Despite the crash, Kroger remained open to customers while crews assessed the damage. No additional details, including injuries or the cause of the crash, have been released at this time.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
