On this day in music history…
In 1988, the sixth episode of the second season of Full House aired on ABC. In the episode, The Beach Boys make a surprise stop at the Tanner house when they’re in town for a concert. The band then invites the whole family to attend their show, and at the end of the episode, they bring the Tanners on stage at the concert to sing with them.
In 2002, George Harrison’s 12th studio album, Brainwashed, was released. This was Harrison’s final album, and it was released posthumously as he had passed away the previous year. Harrison’s son Dhani and producer Jeff Lynne worked to finish the album after his passing. Brainwashed charted at number 18 in the U.S. and number 29 in Harrison’s native U.K.
