On this day in music history…
In 2003, Madonna’s first children’s book, The English Roses, was published. The book’s release was massive; it was translated in over 40 languages and released in over 100 countries, all on the same day. Madonna went on to publish her second children’s book a couple months later.
In 2010, former Pink Floyd bassist and vocalist Roger Waters kicked off his The Wall Live Tour in Toronto. The show featured Waters and his band performing Pink Floyd’s 1979 album The Wall in its entirety. The tour lasted three years, and it was critically acclaimed.
