In 1973, The Rolling Stones released their Goats Head Soup album. Goats Head Soup went on to be the band’s fourth number 1 album in the States. The album’s lead single, “Angie,” also went to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 1990, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s burial service was held at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. Among the thousands of mourners in attendance were numerous fellow musicians, including Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Nile Rodgers, Stevie Wonder, Ringo Starr, the members of ZZ Top, and Vaughan’s older brother Jimmie.
