Motionless in White has released its latest single, “R.I.P.,” a collaboration with singer-songwriter Skylar Grey, offering fans another preview of the band’s forthcoming seventh studio album, Decades, the follow-up to 2022’s Scoring the End of the World .  ‘R.I.P.’ arrived alongside an official music video directed by Jensen Noen, a longtime visual collaborator who previously worked with the band on videos including “Werewolf” and “Sign of Life.”

The song showcases a more melodic and cinematic side of the Pennsylvania-based metal outfit, blending piano-driven passages, atmospheric production and soaring vocal harmonies. Frontman Chris Motionless said Grey’s contribution elevated the track beyond what he envisioned on his own, praising her performance and highlighting the song’s lyrical themes.

“R.I.P.” is one of several high-profile collaborations featured on the 14-track album Decades, which also includes appearances by Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor on “Playing God” and Dark Divine’s Anthony Martinez on “Blood Rave.” Recorded in New York and Los Angeles with producers Drew Fulk and Justin “JD” deBlieck, the album also features the singles “Afraid of the Dark” and includes a cover of “Sunglasses at Night” as well as several bonus tracks.

Following the album’s arrival, Motionless in White will launch its headlining Sweat and Blood Tour across North America. The group recently completed an arena run with Bring Me the Horizon and is preparing for an extensive schedule that includes a first-ever headlining performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
