FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – The Franklin County jail is set to launch a specialized mental health restoration program.

The jail is to become one of only three facilities in the entire state to have the program for inmates found unfit to stand trial.

The program will be available to counties throughout southern Illinois.

The program launches June 16.
