Police arrest fourth person in Carbondale shooting investigation

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A fourth person has been arrested in connection to a shooting investigation in Carbondale.

On May 13, around 3:45am, officers responded to the 700 block of South Lewis Lane in reference to a report of shots fired. 

During the initial investigation, three suspects were identified and arrested. Later, 31 year old Devon Parnell of Carbondale was identified as an additional suspect.

An arrest warrant for Parnell was obtained for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.

On May 20, Parnell was located in the 300 block of South Crestview Street and arrested.

He was taken to the Jackson County Jail pending a detention hearing.
