In 1968, Buffalo Springfield performed at Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, California. The band broke up shortly thereafter. Buffalo Springfield wouldn’t perform again until 2010, when they reunited for Neil Young’s annual benefit concert for The Bridge School.
In 1984, Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr and Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde got married in Central Park in New York. On the day of their marriage, Kerr and Hynde’s respective bands were both on the albums chart; The Pretenders were at number 13 with Learning to Crawl, and Simple Minds were at number 97 with Sparkle in the Rain. They divorced in 1990.
