Two arrested following narcotics investigation in Marion

MARION, Ill. (WJPF) – Two people have been arrested as part of a narcotics investigation in Marion.

On April 22, police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of E. Main Street. The warrant was obtained as part of a narcotics investigation in which crystal methamphetamine was purchased from individuals at the residence.

During a search of the residence, officers located methamphetamine, weighing equipment, drug paraphernalia, two firearms, and official advanced funds/U.S. currency that had been used during the controlled purchase of methamphetamine.

73 year old David Schoenecke was issued citations for Aggravated Delivery of Methamphetamine ( two counts), Aggravated Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver,  Violation of pre-trial release – Possession of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

41 year old Jacqueline Matthews was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Both were taken to the Williamson County Jail.
