Jury selection is complete in the murder trial of a Mount Vernon man accused of killing his wife.

A panel of 12 jurors and three alternates was finalized Tuesday in Jefferson County Court. The trial resumes Wednesday morning at 9:00.

Fifty-two-year-old John Finney faces multiple murder charges in the death of his wife, Amy Finney, whose body was found in September 2025.

Investigators say she was shot at their Jefferson County home, and Finney was later arrested after a traffic stop in rural Du Quoin.
