Five people were arrested following a shots-fired incident early Tuesday morning in Carbondale.

Police say officers were called around 2:15 a.m. to the 1300 block of North Wall Street, where they found shell casings and damage to a residence. No injuries were reported.

The resident was taken into custody, and a search of the home reportedly led to the discovery of drugs and cannabis.

As the investigation continued, officers identified and arrested four additional suspects, all of whom are known acquaintances.

Those involved face a range of felony gun, drug, and obstruction charges and were taken to the Jackson County Jail.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Carbondale Police.
