Authorities in Williamson County are investigating an infant abuse case involving a two-month-old child.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation began January 23rd after the Cambria Police Department requested assistance.

Deputies say the infant was found receiving medical care at a local hospital, and video evidence showed the incident happened earlier that morning but was not immediately reported.

Dalton Ward was identified as the suspect and was arrested without incident.

Ward has been cited for aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery, and was taken to the Williamson County Jail.

The Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case, and additional charges could be filed.
