Wagers Down in Illinois Following Per-Bet Fee

New numbers from the Illinois Gaming Board show sports betting in Illinois is down.

After the state added a per-wager tax last fall, major sportsbooks like FanDuel and DraftKings passed that cost on to customers with a 50-cent fee.

Officials say Illinois saw about five million fewer wagers in September compared to the year before.
