On this day in music history…

In 1982, Daryl Hall & John Oates scored a number 1 hit with “Maneater” from their H₂O album. The duo was familiar with the top of the singles chart. They had already been in the top spot four times with “Rich Girl,” “Kiss on My List,” “Private Eyes,” and “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do).”

In 2020, Paul McCartney released his 18th solo studio album, McCartney III. Like the previous two albums in the McCartney trilogy, McCartney III was a project largely completed by McCartney himself. He wrote all of the songs, recorded all of the vocals, played nearly all of the instruments, and produced most of the album.
