An Eldorado man has been found guilty in a deadly shooting that happened in September.
The Saline County State’s Attorney’s Office says 25-year-old Jesse Trout was convicted Friday of first-degree murder after a multi-day jury trial.
The charges stem from a September 7th shooting, when Eldorado Police responded to a 911 call near Benton and First Street. Officers found 44-year-old Michael Wiseman with multiple gunshot wounds. He later died at a nearby hospital.
Illinois State Police handled the investigation, which led to Trout’s arrest the following day.
A sentencing date has not yet been set.
