In 1981, Jefferson Starship performed for a crowd of about 5,000 people at SIU Arena in Carbondale. The band had released their Modern Times album six months before, and it was charting at number 147 at the time of the show.
In 2007, Kid Rock’s seventh studio album, Rock N Roll Jesus, debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200, making it his first chart-topping album. The third single from the album was “All Summer Long,” which peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100.
