Detectives from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect in connection to a residential arson case in Stonefort, Illinois. The arrest occurred following a collaborative investigation with the Illinois State Fire Marshal.

On Wednesday, authorities investigated a suspicious fire at a home at 303 Poplar Street. The sheriff’s office said some surveillance video showed Jeffrey Glover arriving at the residence on a bicycle, disabling a camera, and leaving the scene shortly before the fire was discovered.

Saline County Deputies located Glover near Muddy, Illinois, after receiving a community tip. Glover attempted to flee on a bicycle but was apprehended and taken into custody.

Glover is being held in the Saline County Detention Center on an unrelated Illinois Department of Corrections hold.
