In 1966, the sitcom The Monkees premiered on NBC. The series starred David Jones, Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork as members of a rock band of the same name. The following year, it won two awards at the 19th Emmy Awards: Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy. The Monkees lasted for two seasons, yielding 58 episodes. It was canceled in 1968.
In 2007, it was announced that a reunited Led Zeppelin would headline the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert. The band would include Zeppelin members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones, with Jason Bonham filling in for his late father on drums. The concert took place at the O2 Arena in London a couple months later.
