WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – One person has been arrested after a drug bust in Williamson County.
On July 10 at 4:30pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Henry Edwards in the 100 block of North Madison Street in Marion.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Around 20 min later a search warrant on Edwards residence in the 600 block of Valmar Drive recovered Cocaine, Cannabis, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, packaging waste, and drug packaging materials. The drug seizure represents a combined street value of over $39,000. The residence, known to Deputies to have a history of drug activity, has been the focus of a 17 month investigation.
Edwards was cited for Delivery Controlled Substance, Possession of Controlled Substance, Delivery of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
