CHRISTOPHER, Ill. (WJPF) – A caretaker is accused of stealing from her elderly client and then attacking that client when confronted about the alleged theft. 

Christopher Police say they arrested the caretaker, Jessica Sims, 46, of Gorham, on Tuesday. She was taken to the Franklin County Jail on charges of aggravated battery, theft, and resisting a peace officer.  

The 80-year-old victim was treated for injuries to his face.
