SIU men’s basketball made another addition to their front court on Wednesday when junior forward Prince Aligbe, a 6’7 transfer from Seton Hall, announced he was committing to SIU. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

In the 2024-25 season, Aligbe made 29 starts for the Pirates. He averaged 7.8 points per game, 3.6 rebounds, and a 45.6% shooting percentage. He scored double-digits 14 times.
He had a season-high 19 points against Providence and a season-high nine rebounds against Villanova.
Aligbe is the brother of freshman forward Rolyns Aligbe.
With the addition of the elder Aligbe, SIU men’s basketball has a roster of 14 players for the 2025-26 season. The Salukis have a total of eight guards, five forwards, and one center.
