On this day in music history…
In 1970, the Michael Lindsay-Hogg film Let It Be premiered in New York City. Featuring The Beatles, the film documented the making of what would be their last studio album, and it included their famous rooftop concert—the final public performance by the group. Let It Be received negative reviews upon release, but The Beatles won the Academy Award for Best Original Score later that year.

In 2002,
the 23rd episode of the fourth season of The King of Queens aired on CBS. The episode, fittingly titled “Eddie Money,” featured characters Doug Heffernan, Deacon Palmer, and Arthur Spooner trying to spend all of 5,000 dollars in a day without Doug’s wife discovering the money, since Doug had won it in a bet by using 100 dollars from his and his wife’s savings. They end up using the rest of Doug’s winnings by hiring Eddie Money to perform a private concert. Money appears in the episode as himself, performing portions of “Shakin’” and “Save a Little Room in Your Heart.”
