Man charged with reckless homicide in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – A man is facing reckless homicide in Williamson County.

On Saturday May 10, just before midnight, deputies responded to a report of a 38 year old male struck by a vehicle on Saraville Road.

Upon arrival, Deputies discovered that the victim was lying on the ground in the driveway of the residence when a truck drove over the victim causing fatal injuries.

The victim was airlifted by helicopter to a regional trauma center, but diverted to Harrisburg Medical Center due to his condition. The victim was pronounced deceased less than 2 hours later.

Trevor Steward was arrested and cited for Reckless Homicide, Aggravated Driving Under the Influence, Obstructing Justice, and Reckless Conduct. 

Stewart was taken into custody of the Williamson County Jail and additional charges are expect.
