CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Police in Carbondale arrested a man for trespassing in Evergreen Park. They say he had a loaded gun and illegal cannabis in his possession.

According to Carbondale Police, Milik Hughes, 29, of Carbondale, was arrested around 2:00 am Tuesday. In addition to the gun being loaded, Carbondale Police say the serial number was also defaced.

Hughes was taken to the Jackson County Jail on charges including aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, defacing identification markings on a firearm, and criminal trespass to real property.
