MARION, Ill. (WJPF) – The Williamson County Board of Commissioners has appointed a new circuit clerk.

Chief Deputy Clerk Rachel Moake will serve out the remainder of Justin Maze’s unfinished term.

Maze, a Republican, was forced to resign earlier this year as part of a plea deal offered by federal prosecutors to settle allegations of real estate and bank fraud.
