Six area men charged in human trafficking investigation

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Six area men have been arrested in a human trafficking investigation.

Illinois State Police say the two day sting was conducted earlier this week in the Carbondale area and targeted people attempting to pay for sex with a child.

ISP says the following six people have been charges with indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a child, and solicitation to meet a child: Marlin Kellum, 28, of Murphysboro;  Charles Kemp, 46, West Frankfort;  Kyler McGee, 23, Anna;  Justin Phoenix, 29, Shiloh;  Scott Strudwick, 35, Murphysboro;  Robert Wilson, 32, Carbondale.
