(WJPF) – Three southern Illinois sites have been placed on Landmark Illinois’ 2024 Most Endangered Historic Places list.

The non-profit puts out a list each year of historic sites across the state that they say are in desperate need of preservation.

The southern Illinois sites making the list are the Alexander Buel House in Golconda, the Old Shawneetown Bank, and the Johnson County Courthouse.
