Carbondale Police make arrest in April shooting

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – One man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that caused property damage  in Carbondale.

Carbondale Police say Ambrose Godsey, 21, is a suspect in the April 17 shooting near the intersection of South Poplar and West Freeman streets that resulted in damage to a building.  CPD says Godsey was carrying a loaded gun when he was arrested Friday night during an unrelated disturbance in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane.

Previously, Carbondale Police said two people of interest were seen running away from the scene of the April 17 shooting. No other arrests have been announced.
