JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – Three people have been killed in a traffic crash in Jefferson County.

It happened around 12:00 a.m. Sunday, near the intersection of East Dubois Road and North Pulsar Lane, west of Waltonville.

Police say a 20-year-old Scheller resident was driving a 2017 Buick when he crossed the centerline and hit a 2023 Chevrolet head-on. The 20-year-old Buick driver and a 20-year-old passenger in the Buick, died at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 37-year-old from Collinsville, also died at the scene. A passenger in the Chevrolet was seriously injured.
