CARBONDALE, I ll. (WJPF) – Two Jackson County men are facing charges in connection to a shooting last month in Carbondale.

Kionte Scott, 18, of Desoto, and Jakobi Shered, 20, of Carbondale, have both been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm.  Jakobi Shered faces an additional charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Carbondale Police say on November 5, 2023, two vehicles and two apartments in the 900 block of East Grand Avenue were damaged by gunfire.  No injuries were reported.
