GOREVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Goreville man has been arrested, accused of inflicting life threatening injuries to a one-month-old child.

Blake Street, 18, was arrested Tuesday by Illinois State Police on a single charge of aggravated battery to a child. ISP says the roughly 30-day-old baby was hurt on November 22.

Blake Street is being held in the Massac County Jail.  A hearing to determine pretrial detention is scheduled for Friday.
