Two teenagers now in custody for September 2 shooting on the Carbondale Strip

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A second teenager has been arrested in connection to a shooting earlier this month on the Carbondale strip.

On September 2, a person was shot at a restaurant in the 700 block of South Illinois Avenue.  They were taken to the hospital with serious injuries and are expected to survive.

On the September 8, Carbondale Police arrested a 15-year-old from Carbondale for aggravated discharge of a firearm. On the September 13, 17-year-old from DeSoto was arrested on the same charge.

Both teens were taken to the Jackson County Jail.
