Carbondale man arrested after armed domestic disturbance

CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Carbondale man is facing a long list of charges after a domestic incident involving a gun.

It happened at about 3:10 a.m. Sunday at a residence in the 200 block of South Lewis Lane.

CPD says Nicoliest Brown, 37, threatened a person with a gun and damaged their property. Brown was still armed when officers placed him under arrest.

Nicoliest Brown was taken to the Jackson County Jail on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, armed habitual offender, aggravated domestic battery, criminal damage to property, interference with reporting domestic violence, and resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
