CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Over three million taxpayer dollars will allow Shawnee Health to update some of their facilities and equipment.

Senator Tammy Duckworth announced that Shawnee would receive $3.75 million in Congressionally Directed Spending, formerly known as earmarks.

Shawnee says they’ll use the money to further enhance their integrated health and community services project at the Carbondale campus.
