Two Women Arrested in Williamson County for Endangering the Life/Health of a Child and Methamphetamine

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – Two women have been arrested in Williamson County for Endangering the Life or Health of a Child & Methamphetamine.

On August 3rd officers with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve an arrest warrant in the 12,000 block of Binkley Road. 

When deputies approached the door, officers saw the subject of the arrest warrant, Jena Thompson, actively consuming methamphetamine.

In the house, another adult female was present as well as a child under the age of 12.

The child was discovered in a hot, neglected, and bug infested attic sleeping on the floor.

Due to sleeping conditions, the open use of narcotics in the presence of a juvenile, and several problems in the house, the juvenile was immediately taken into protective custody.

Thompson was arrested on the outstanding arrest warrant and issued citations for Delivery of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The other adult female, Krickett Head, was issued citations for Possession of Methamphetamine, Endangering the Life or Health of a Child, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

They both were taken to the Williamson County Jail.
