CAIRO, Ill. (WJPF) – The US60/62 bridge over the Mississippi River in Cairo is closed to all traffic until further notice.

Transportation officials say critical safety issues were found during a recent inspection.

The Mississippi can still be crossed in Cairo using the Interstate 57 bridge.
