GOREVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Bluford man had to be flown to the hospital after a traffic crash near Goreville.

It happened at about 10:45 a.m. Monday on Route 37, just north of Dogwood Lane.

Illinois State Police say Roger Smith, 55, was driving a tractor-trailer south on Route 37 when the truck ran off the road and hit an embankment.

Roger Smith was flown to a regional hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was also cited for improper lane usage.
