CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) — One person is dead after a police-involved shooting Tuesday afternoon in Carterville.

It happened in the 200 block of Dobson Street. No police officers were hurt. 

Little information about the incident has been released to the public. Illinois State Police will lead the investigation.
