In-person visits to resume at state correctional facilities

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — After being suspended for more than a year, in-person visits have resumed at state correctional facilities.

Visits resumed April 12, 2021 at the East Moline Correctional Center.

Visits will resume April 19, 2021 at the Graham, Taylorville, Jacksonville, Dixon, Centralia, and Stateville Correctional Centers; Stateville Northern Reception Center; Fox Valley, Crossroads and North Lawndale ATCs; Elgin Treatment Center.

Visits will resume April 26, 2021 at the Pinckneyville, Sheridan, Big Muddy River, Pontiac, Shawnee, Vienna, Hill, Lawrence, Illinois River, Robinson, and Vandalia Correctional Centers; Joliet Treatment Center; Peoria ATC; Kewanee and Murphysboro Life Skills Re-Entry Centers.

Visits will resume May 3, 2021 at the Southwestern Illinois, Decatur, Logan, Lincoln, Western Illinois, Danville, and Menard Correctional Centers.

 

 

 

 

Visits begin on the April 19 for a handful of facilities in the central and northern parts of the state.

They begin the April 26 at Pinckneyville, Big Muddy, Shawnee, and Vienna correctional centers as well as at the Murphysboro Life Skills Re-Entry Center.

In-person visits return on May 3 for the Southwestern Illinois and Menard Correctional Centers.
